The Higher Committee for Agentic Artificial Intelligence organized a workshop on the “Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Data Track,” with the participation of a number of government leaders, Chief Artificial Intelligence Officers (CAIOs), and representatives of government entities. The workshop forms part of national efforts to accelerate the adoption of Agentic AI technologies, enhance integration among government entities, and enable them to build an integrated technology and data ecosystem that supports the achievement of government transformation objectives.

H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Data Track, affirmed that the UAE leadership’s vision has established a proactive government model that places the deployment of future technologies at the heart of government development, enhancing its readiness and enabling it to keep pace with global changes while shaping a more efficient and agile future. He noted that the Agentic AI Project embodies this vision by launching the first comprehensive government-wide movement of its kind globally to adopt Agentic AI technologies across government.

H.E. said that the Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Data Track workshop aims to align visions, strengthen integration among government entities, and accelerate the readiness of technology and data enablers. This supports a systematic transition toward the adoption of Agentic AI and advances the project’s objective of transforming 50% of government sectors, operations and services over the next two years, further consolidating the UAE’s leadership in building an AI-driven government.

The workshop reviewed the Agentic AI Project and its five tracks, as well as the scope of work of the track and requirements related to data governance, infrastructure, technical requirements, platforms and tools, and the integration of government systems, ensuring that entities are ready to adopt Agentic AI models and systems.

It also addressed the criteria for classifying Agentic AI systems and the self-assessment mechanism, which is based on a set of technical and operational criteria to determine the extent to which systems align with the concept of Agentic AI. This contributes to standardizing implementation methodologies, strengthening governance, and ensuring the safe and responsible use of these technologies across government entities.

The workshop also showcased the Federal AI Technology Ecosystem (FedAI), which represents the unified technology infrastructure for adopting and developing Agentic AI solutions across federal government entities. The ecosystem enables entities to access a range of leading AI platforms through the National AI Gateway, which provides a unified and secure access point for managing and operating applications and services.

The ecosystem also includes the Agentic AI Inference Layer, which enables the use of commercial models and sovereign-hosted open-source models, while allowing for the integration of future models to ensure flexibility, scalability, and the ability to keep pace with technological developments.

The workshop emphasized the importance of developing the technology and data environment, as well as the institutional capabilities required to enable government entities to adopt Agentic AI solutions. These efforts will enhance the efficiency of government operations, improve service quality, and support faster decision-making in pursuit of the objectives of the Agentic AI Project. The workshop also featured presentations from more than 10 technology suppliers and companies supporting the transition to Agentic AI applications.

The Agentic AI Project represents one of the key pillars of the UAE Government 4.0 journey, which aims to drive a qualitative transformation in the government operating model through the deployment of Agentic AI technologies across government operations, services and sectors. The project comprises five tracks: the Operations and Institutional Support Track; the Strategic Government Work Track; the Government Services Track; the Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Data Track; and the Capacity Building and Training Track.

The new UAE Government model, guided by H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and announced by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and overseen by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, aims to transform 50% of government sectors, services and operations into operating models powered by Agentic AI within two years. This initiative is the first of its kind globally and will enhance government performance, improve the quality and effectiveness of services, increase their impact on customers, and further consolidate the UAE’s leadership in designing the governments of the future.

The Artificial Intelligence Technologies and Data Track is one of the key tracks of the Agentic AI Project for the UAE Government. It is headed by H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, and is responsible for developing and implementing the technical requirements needed to ensure the readiness and maturity of the national technology ecosystem and infrastructure. It also enables federal entities to develop and adopt Agentic AI models and systems, supporting the objective of transforming 50% of government sectors, operations and services into Agentic AI-powered operating models within two years.
