New Tokyo Travel Store Supports Emirates’ Continued Growth In Japan
Emirates today officially inaugurated its dedicated Travel Store in Otemachi, Tokyo, welcoming the airline’s senior executives, distinguished guests and members of the media to a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Japan; Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East; Satish Sethi, Emirates’ Country Manager for Japan; Tetsuya Mori, Director, International Air Transport Division, Japan Civil Aviation Bureau; and members from Tokyo’s travel and trade industry as well as local media.
Following the successful opening of the Emirates Travel Store Osaka in July 2025, the new Tokyo store is an expansion of Emirates’ retail footprint in Japan. Located in Otemachi, one of Tokyo’s key business and commercial districts, the store provides a new point of engagement for customers in the greater Tokyo area, offering an opportunity to discover Emirates’ global network and best-in-class product offerings, with support from multilingual travel experts who cater to both Japanese and international customers. Visitors will receive assistance on flight bookings, travel-related information, and curated itineraries.
The store has been thoughtfully designed to embody modern luxury and comfort, exuding a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Soft beige lounge chairs, paired with sleek, contemporary furnishings, create a welcoming setting for customers as they are served by dedicated Emirates travel consultants. The store also offers a self-service kiosk and a personalised Queue Management system for added convenience, a selfie mirror that includes unique backgrounds of popular destinations served by Emirates as well as the airline’s Boeing 777 Business Class seat on display.
The Emirates Travel Store Tokyo is located on the first floor of Otemachi One, 1-2-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The store is open Monday to Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
Japan enters a new era of growth
Japan remains a key strategic market for Emirates, which continues to strengthen connectivity between the country and destinations worldwide. The airline currently operates direct services between Dubai and Narita International Airport, Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), and Kansai International Airport in Osaka. From 26 October 2026, Emirates is scheduled to increase its Narita services, bringing its total passenger operations to and from Japan to 28 flights per week.
Operated by an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER, the additional service will provide more than 300 passenger seats in each direction and an extra 20 tonnes of daily cargo capacity.
The expansion will help meet growing demand for travel to Japan while giving customers travelling from Japan greater choice and flexibility when planning their journeys.
